New Dental Patient Information – New Bedford, MA
Everything You Need to
Know Before Your Visit
We can’t wait to meet you and your family, but our first meeting will go a lot smoother if you make sure that you’re well-prepared in advance. Review the information below so that you know what to expect during the first visit and can get started in making the necessary financial arrangements. One of our friendly Sound Dentistry team members will be more than happy to take your call if you have any additional questions.
Your First Visit
You’ll be greeted by one of our front-desk administrators and given any remaining paperwork to complete. We’ll call you back to the treatment area once everything is in order. Our team will spend the first appointment examining your mouth and becoming more familiar with your unique situation. Depending on what we find and what kind of treatment you need, follow-up appointments will be scheduled after a thorough cleaning of the teeth and gums has been performed.
Appointment Cancellation Policy
In continuing our commitment to you and your oral health we are pleased to reserve appointment times that are convenient for you and your family’s schedule. In order to provide all patients with times that are convenient for their schedules and to effectively run our dental office, we must maintain those reserved scheduled times. We will be happy to assist you with rescheduling appointments with at least 2 business days’ notice of change or cancellation. Thank you for your efforts on maintaining your reserved dental time.
Patient Forms
When possible, we ask that you complete your new patient paperwork before you arrive at our dental office. This information gives us important context about your oral health and your medical history. We can then look for warning signs of specific problems that you might be particularly susceptible to. Downloading the forms from our website could end up saving you about 15 minutes of sitting in our waiting room struggling with your insurance card and other information.

Dental Insurance
Before the day of your appointment, you should call our dental office to confirm whether we take your insurance. Our dental office is currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Delta Dental Premier. When you use insurance to pay for your care, our team will file the claims for you and make sure that you get the most out of your benefits. Remember that surgery is fee for services only; that means the fee is determined by the time, care, skill, judgment, and materials required for the treatment.
Dental Financing
Dental financing is an option for patients who may have trouble paying the entire cost of care out of pocket. Simply put, the cost of care is broken into smaller payments that can be spread across several months. This way, they can be more easily incorporated into your budget and take away some of the stress of paying for your care. Call our dental office today to learn more about what financing options are available at Sound Dentistry.
